Reaching Out

The founders of Night Light came to speak at our church today. I was very touched and moved by what they had to say and what they are doing for women in Bangkok who have found themselves in a life of prostitution. These women think there is no other answer for them, that selling themselves to men is the only way of life and they are terribly depressed and ashamed. The founders of Night Light reach out to these women and offer them another way to make a living and teach them about Jesus. They offer them jobs making jewelry, beautiful jewelry I might add (see below) and so far they have saved 80 women from a life of prostitution and over half of these women are now Christians. I encourage you to look at their website, see the beautiful jewelry they offer and possibly buy some of it and give to their cause. It is beautiful. Also, check out Seth Shore's blog Hope4Cambodia about child sex slavery in Cambodia. These people are really making a difference in these women and children's lives and I applaud them for it!
