Our first adventure out! (Without Daddy or Grandma helping)

The kids and I packed up the diaper bag and headed out today. We took a 45 minute drive in the rain to the Belchertown Family Center. We had a lot of fun. Ethan got to play with all the kids and toys and I got to show Camille off to all the moms there. As I was getting ready to go home I thought to myself "this was a pretty successful trip" but as we were leaving the woman who runs the center told me it was pouring outside and that she would watch my kids if I wanted to pull my car down closer. By the time I got back inside to get the kids I looked like I had been in the shower for 15 minutes! The drive home was very scary. It was raining so hard I could barely see out of the window and I kept hydroplaning. Ethan was scared too, poor thing. But we are now home, safe and sound. The kids are fed and sleeping and I am enjoying some homemade banana bread and decaf coffee. I would say I am proud of myself for taking this trip out this morning and that God made it just a wee bit more challenging to show me I could do it. =)

God does like to throw those li'l challenges our way, doesn't he? I'm glad it went so well, and that you got to get out and about!! Yeah! Zarik spent the last two days getting our carseats in our car so that we're ready for those trips out with both of ours!
