It is starting to get colder in the night. We don't need our fans anymore and we are starting to wear more clothing when we sleep to keep warm. The leaves on the trees are changing colors. This means fall is almost here! I have heard from almost everyone I've talked to that fall in Amherst, MA is gorgeous, but that it only lasts 3-4 weeks. I love fall and I have missed the feel and smell of cold air. The cold weather reminds me of family and makes me very homesick for Auburn, my parents, my sister and my friends from back home. This is definitely my favorite time of the year. When it starts to get cold and the leaves start changing it means Halloween is just around the corner, then Thanksgiving and then, my favorite, Christmas! I cannot wait to experience these holidays here, but I also yearn to be with the family and back in Auburn. Oh well, I look forward to the new experience. The photo is what an Amherst Autumn looks like. I can't wait. What are your favorite parts of Autumn and the holidays?

Here in Colorado we also get the trees that turn colors, which is really cool considering we didn't get a lot of that in Auburn. I think my favorite part of fall and the holidays is all the different types of food, and the smells. Fires in fireplace, pine cones, trees indoors, spices everywhere, different goodies baking. Yeah, definately the smells. :)
