Time to vent... Isn't that what blogs are for!?

What a stressful day! Today was Jonathan's first really long day, he had his first rehearsal tonight, which he is currently still at, leaving me home alone with the kids since 9:30 AM. This morning I woke up feeling very refreshed and happy, looking forward to the day. The morning went just fine but after lunch I put Ethan down for his nap at 12:30 and he just cried until 1:30. I got him up for a bit and put him back down at 2:00. Got him back up at 2:30, after non-stop crying and put him back down at 3:30, then got him back up at 4:00, after more crying... so, no breaks for me today. Listening to your child cry like that for that long is no break! It doesn't matter that he wasn't in the same room. So, later I noticed he was sneezing and coughing a lot. His nose is all running and his cheeks are all red. Poor little guy is sick! Great... he doesn't sleep when he's sick. I gave him some Tylonel at 7:00 (because we didn't have baby Benedryl) and put him to bed. He cried so badly for the next 40 minutes that I was in tears and seriously thinking that I could not do the mothering thing anymore. I got him up, yet again, sang to him and let him wander the living room for the next 20 minutes. He's been in his room now for 15 minutes and he is still crying a little, nothing like the last time he was in there, but enough to be really stressing me out. He just needs to go to sleep, he'll feel better when he wakes up. I just wish he could understand that. Poor guy. Keep us in your prayers! We need them!
