Apple picking in Massachusetts

We went apple picking in New Salem, MA today with the Archer family. It was so nice! We took this beautiful drive to get there with trees everywhere. Fall here is so beautiful. The leaves were green, bright yellow, red and orange and floating down from the trees, onto the road. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The apple orchard had a petting zoo, which the kids loved, and apple cider donuts (which I had never heard of until we moved here.) They were pretty good, I wasn't crazy about them though. Here are some pictures from our day...

Ethan giving one of his favorite animals a kiss.
Everyone walking into the orchard.
Jonathan looking for the good apples. He didn't find them here.
Ethan enjoying an apple.
Joey enjoying an apple.
Ethan in the orchard.
This is what Camille did the whole time. Sleepy head.
The family.
This is our bag of apples. We split this with the Archers but we still have more apples than we know what to do with.
Ethan, Eloise, and Joey sitting with the pumpkins.
Ethan eating lunch after a long morning of picking apples up off the ground, trying to eat them and having Mommy swat them away.
And here is the apple crisp I made, fresh out of the oven. =)
