So, I just realized that my background said "Merry Christmas!" I am ready to change seasons now, lol! Christmas kind of passed me by and I barely noticed it so I guess I was still waiting for it to come. This has been the slowest year for me in terms of taking down decorations and whatnot. Valentine's day came and went with barely any notice as well, maybe because I was sick on both holidays... blah! Anyway, I am looking forward to the next holiday, St. Patty's day, which is also a dear friends birthday. I have this idea... when I was in 4th grade we came into class on St. Patty's day to find colored mini marshmallows sprinkled all over our desks and our teacher told us leprechauns had brought them. I want to do something like this for my kids this year, but probably more like after their nap and something healthier than marshmallows. In the meantime we have some exciting things coming up. We are taking a trip to Tennessee to see Jonathan's brother, Randy, get married to the lovely Sarah Sanfino. Yay for visiting a new place and for getting a new sister! Then when we get back Jonathan will have his 28th birthday! I am thinking about making some pasta with pesto and his favorite cake for dessert, which is white cake with lemon curd filling. Needless to say, I am looking forward to the end of my winter rut and the beginning of Spring-time fun!

When I was in school I remember finding little green footprints along the sidewalk and in the classroom that the teachers had made to look like leprechaun feet, and a lot of kids said they woke up to find weird things colored green like the toilet water or their milk in the morning. Maybe you could color the kids milk green or make all-green meals? I also remember going on a "hunt" for leprechaun gold (golden chocolate coins) in the playground, that was always fun.
