Our bus adventure

Jonathan had to go down to New York City today for class and because the bus doesn't pick up on Sundays until noon and he had to leave at 5 am this morning, he ended up taking the car in and leaving in at UMASS. It was my job to take the bus to UMASS and pick up the car so we didn't get a ticket tomorrow. Sounds easy but add in a 3 year old and an 18 month old and it's a little more tricky to do by yourself... We got to the bus stop about 10 minutes early and the kids ran in and out of the bus shelter. Luckily for us, the bus came about 5 minutes early so we got on but the whole 5 minutes we had to sit there and wait, Ethan was talking about all the people we saw... sometimes not a good thing, lol. We got going and the ride was fine. When we got to our stop I totally stumbled over my diaper bag and held up the isle because Ethan wanted to get off the bus by himself, without any help... The whole walk to the car Ethan said he wanted to go see daddy at work and was arguing with me because I told him that daddy is in New York so we can't go see him at work, because he is not there. We made it to the car and Ethan ran off, which is totally scary by the cars. Don't worry, he got punished for that, not okay. Next we needed to go grocery shopping but Ethan asked to go to Target and I figured I could get what I needed from there so off we went to Target. I put Ethan in the large part of the cart, and Cami in the small part so when I picked up some eggs on the bottom part of the cart so they couldn't break them. I paid and went out to the car. Keep in mind that I only got about 6 hours of sleep and I need about 9-10 to function so I was completely pooped. As I am taking the kids out I see the eggs down on the bottom... unpaid for. Several thoughts run through my head but all I want to do is get in the car and drive home with the stolen eggs... I call Jonathan for advice and he tells me to go back in and pay for them, which I also know is what I should go... God does not want us to steal... doesn't matter if it was an accident and I am exhausted. So I load Camille into the stroller, which Ethan argues with me about because HE wants to ride in it. I talk him out of it and go back in to pay for the eggs, while buying a few more things that I would not have gotten if I would have just remembered the eggs in the first place. I know, it's a lot of little things but they really do add up. I am so pooped now! I'm glad it's all done with now.
